Clinical Services for Early Years

When a child’s referral is accepted a social worker will visit the family first and then, refer to the team to assess the child or refer directly for intervention.

Programmes Are Developed With Parents

Therapists who both assess the child and provide intervention include, Speech and Language therapist, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Clinical Nurse Specialist in early Intervention, and Psychologist.

Intervention is provided through one to one sessions, group sessions, parent training, visits to home or pre-schools.

Programmes are developed with parents and are designed to equip parents with the knowledge and skills to implement the programme at home through the child’s daily routine.
