Thanks for Volunteering with us here it St Joseph's Foundation. Please be advised that we now reqiure two forms of I.D with Garda Vetting. Thank you.
If my application is successful, what happens next?
Our Volunteer Co-Ordinator will request a further meeting with you to give you information on and to discuss:
At this meeting you will decide, together with the Volunteer Co-Ordinator, where and how you will spend your time with St. Joseph’s Foundation.
When will I meet the people I will be working with?
Once it has been agreed between you and our Volunteer Co-Ordinator where and how you will be volunteering, the Volunteer Co-Ordinator will arrange to introduce you to the supervisor of the relevant unit. As well as drawing up a Role Description together, you will have the opportunity to see around the unit and, where appropriate, meet people you will be working with.
What else needs to happen before I start volunteering?
You will receive a Letter of Offer containing the Role Description and other details of your Volunteering Placement. When you have confirmed the arrangements set out in the Letter of Offer, a Volunteering Agreement will be drawn up and signed by you and the Volunteer Co-Ordinator who will also arrange the necessary Induction Training with you before you start your Volunteering.
What Induction Training will I receive?
At intervals during the year an Induction Day will take place for a group of new volunteers which aims to give participants:
All in a confidential warm environment.
If there is no scheduled Induction Day when your application process has been successfully completed, the Volunteer Co-Ordinator may arrange an induction day with you on a personal basis. You will also be invited to the next scheduled Induction Day.
You will always have a member of staff at hand to answer any questions and explain things to you when you begin your Volunteer Placement at St. Joseph’s Foundation and our Volunteer Co-Ordinator will be happy to offer any support during your time with us.
